Who we are

Adapted is the brand of Adapted Hub (Pty) Ltd, a South African company founded by Jason van den Berg. Adapted Hub (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for this website under POPIA. This policy covers the website at adapted.co.za. If you have a question about it, email hello@adapted.co.za.

What this website collects

Nothing on its own. The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and uses no tracking pixels or advertising tools. It does not keep a database of visitors.

The fonts load from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads them, Google receives your IP address, as with any web request. Google’s own privacy policy covers that request.

The quote form

When you send the quote form, we receive your name, email address, company, what you need, your budget and your message. Our website host, Netlify, Inc., receives the form for us, checks it for spam and stores it on servers outside South Africa. Netlify then sends us a copy by email. We use it only to reply to you, to set up a call and to prepare a quote.

Our website host

Netlify, Inc. hosts this website. Like any host, it keeps short server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the website. Netlify’s own privacy policy covers those logs.

When you email us

If you send us an email, we receive what you wrote and your email address. We use it only to reply to you, to set up a call and to prepare a quote. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

We keep project emails for as long as we work together and for as long as the law requires for business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time, unless we must keep them by law.

Your rights under POPIA

South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it and to ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
